Noel

At this point I think BeeJay Anya is our most likely big man in 2013. I still think Noel's situation could end up just like Andre Drummond. He'll either be in college or overseas next season imo.
I imagine then that we will leave the roster open to accommodate him at the last minute like UCONN did for Drummond, is that reasonable to believe?

Team takeover connection should help, right?
It won't hurt by any means Grant and him are cool however takeover's coach lets his kids pick there University unlike other AAU programs. I have heard some rumblings about Anya's head getting a little to big for what it's worth. Hopefully he gets it back out of the clouds

Ya, I did notice on their site that their kids go to all different schools every year.

IMO the biggest dirtbag AAU coach in the DMV area is hands down DC Assault head guy. It's like selling your soul to the devil when you play for him. I have tons of respect for Dematha and Takeover coach's they really do all they can to keep there kids honest. If we could ever get a pipeline into Dematha year in and year out I would do back flips.

We'll definitely have room especially if Fab is gone. Problem is UConn, UK, and Providence will all have room for him as well.

What happened to Dakari Johnson "the best 14 year old in the country"? He was class of 2014 and had SU as his favorite team at one time.
Pay Pal Cal is strongly connected to Team Johnson. SU will have their hands full trying to land him.

Is Providence a real threat? Any gut feeling on order at this point?

I don't think we've ever competed for big time recruits with Providence. Gonna be UK/UCONN.

Unfortunetly we've yet to beat UK 1 on 1 for a top recruit on a neutral ground (DC2 is close to home so was big advantage for us). If Cal guarantees a starting spot (which he does, JB never guarantees starts) it will not be easy to land him.

The key in Noel will be what Fab does this year

Don't think he'll land there but I was told not to sleep on them. Cooley and his staff have good relationships with Tilton and BABC.

UConn has a pretty good history with Tilton too. Also with Drummond leaving after this year and Orahki becoming a senior, UConn needs a big man bad; Calhoun also had some pretty strong words about Noel as well.

But I think Cuse and UK are much better fits for him.

I can imagine it would be hard to see PC as a competitor but you have competed with us before for both Nichols and Warrick, as a matter of fact if Hodge had chosen Cuse, Warrick attends PC.

Anyway, this is what Noel actually said in this interview, so there is a chance.

“You just got to go to a program just not based off the name,” Noel told FiveStarBasketball.com in this exclusive vide interview.
“But if there is a good name you look into it, see what they have to offer. But there ‘s other schools out there that are going to help you just as good as the high-name schools as well. So you look at the other schools, too, and take your time through the process and look at it in different aspects and just know that you made the good decision.”
“Just follow your heart.”

You forgot Andy Rautins

I think P.C. has a real shot at Noel. Will be a much tougher get for them then the two guys they just got who for the most part, fell in their lap. But they are working hard at Noel and he is listening. Syr,. UConn and Kentucky are tough to beat out though.
