There is literally nothing Red can do to save his job. I actually believe JW has told him he won’t be retained but is allowing him to stay until the end of the season.

JW wouldn’t have announced his retirement before he gave Red the news he won’t be retained. I’d almost bet everything I have that a private search for the next HC has already begun, most likely using the same or parts of the search committee that’s assigned to finding Wildhack’s replacement.
