It seems that Ryan is getting it together.

The 43 yard FG was well struck - he did not over-kick.

And he is getting the ball into the endzone on KOs - I know, I know, some of you would prefer that we force the opponent to return the KOs - I don't understand it but I am aware of it.

RN seems to have a strong leg - maybe we have jumped the game time hurdles and maybe we have ourselves a decent FG kicker for the rest of the year.

I was really glad to see him bang a couple KOs deep. That's huge.

I would rather put every kickoff deep into the end zone with a touchback. Anyone else who says otherwise is crazy

That's how I feel.

I would rather our opponent kick off short and give us a chance to return.

Why would I feel that way when we kick off?

I wouldn't - I want the ball through the endzone - no returns.

I know that snap through timing off, but why, why, why didn't he kick that extra point. Loeb had the ball down,it seemed for an eternity.

Why settle for giving them the ball on the 25 when you can cover the kick and nail the returner on the 15?

Worked against Wagner. Or course it won't work against every team.

Because the KOR can go for a TD or a big gain and because KO plays often result in injuries to the tackling players.

The chance of getting the ball back inside the 25 is not worth it in my mind.

Especially in today's game where being on the 15 versus the 25 probably does not make all that much difference.

I missed that play.

Don't know why but I missed it.

Could anyone tell if Norton's FG was good on the long attempt that was negated by the delay of game call? Hard o tell from the replay.

I thought it was good

kicking is all rhythm once the the hold was dropped most kickers struggle to even make a solid kick and that just leads to bad things or injury..

Mostly agree. But coaches see so much game tape on opponents. If they see a poor KO return unit without a burner back there, I don't mind scheming some short, high kicks. But definitely the exception.

The kick was good for sure, hooked late maybe two feet inside the right upright.

good by about a yard inside but hooking would have missed from 5 to 10 yards further out

Appeared to me he was in stride and ready to kick before the ball was put down. Had he tried to kick it, it would've been from an almost standing still position.

Because he knew he'd get the chance on the option pitch later.
