Not much discussion regarding Dion Goggins as a DE

He may be a huge impact kind of guy there At DT he was a bit undersized but off the edge he may give those uglies a tough time if he has worked on his moves this off season. I have no idea what he can do . Not much on him thus far.

he is listed as a DE in the depth charts. What news do you have that tells us otherwise?Seriously,he isn't going to play there? Does that mean he goes back to DT? I doubt that because of the "undersized reasons that he was faced with last year. We have players more suited to the position available like Zian Jones and Crume!

Link please? He never said that. PB wasn't listed in the initial media guide because he still had clearinghouse issues. However Marrone was quoted as saying he expects all to be ready to go for camp (except Hilliard).

Me too. I don't know what the enrollment ratio is of those who aren't completely cleared from the start, but I'd say best case it's 50%, no matter what the head coach may say to the press.

Goggins was cross training at DE during the spring because we were short at the position at that time, and he might see time there in some situations. Assume we have MPB here, along with others, I would expect most of Deon's time comes on the inside.

Staff thinks he's better utilized as a pass rushing DT

Does anyone else think we might not see as much of Goggins this year. I can see Crume and possibly Zian Jones getting more reps on 1st and 2nd downs. Goggins struggled in the BE and seemed to be really run down by the end of the season. He might be a player who can be just as productive with a lot less snaps.
