Not sure how to feel about this

Miami's defense is not good... but their offense certainly is... Same can be said for Syracuse however.

I don't think ACC refs will allow a Syracuse win unless Clemson and SMU are guaranteed to give the league 2 bids. That said Clemson and SMU donor money >>> Miami so there is a chance if they can buy other refs accordingly.

Protecting McCord is going to be huge in this game. If they get pressure on him he'll make risky throws, and I'm sure Miami knows this.

I think it's game breakers and while we've seen our defense out run it's been awhile since we've had an offensive player gap defenders to the end zone. This is where we miss Zeed and equally need JRS to learn the play book. OG is obviously hobbled, Hatcher is out and Meeks nor Pena are burners. Gill is the wild card but anyone else that can offer YAC and peel the top off the defense is welcome. Miami defense aren't fundementally good but they always have elite speed.

Double down on this. Miami’s defense might suck overall but they have athletics on the dline that can easily just run by our tackles and bust thru the interior.

I’d expect lots of quick hits, Allen out of the backfield and hopefully establish any semblance of a run game.

If the defense just sits on 5-7 yrd stops and slants…think Pitt. That team wasn’t worried at all about our downfield game and was able to sit on quick hitters

I heard on ACC Prime that Miami's secondary is beat up and are an issue for them, but their dline looks scary with the pass rush. Our offensive line is going to have to have the game of their lives. Fortunately we've looked better of late there, well for the most part.

What worries me about this game is that the SU D struggles against a 2 minute offense and Miami can score a lot if they do this.

We should be happy we have a big November football game in the dome. It’s been a long time. Miami has given up a boatload of points to a bunch of common opponents. We can win this.

Using common opponents...

Miami 2-1 33.3 ppg to 33.3 ppg 0.0 difference
SU 3-0 31.7 ppg to 28 ppg +3.7 difference

So we have a better record, score 1.6 less per game, allow 5.3 less per game, and have a better +/- per game. They did play GA Tech away when our game was home. The other two were the same.

I wish you were kidding. Gonna need to beat Miami AND the refs as per usual, wash rinse and repeat. Crazy thing even with that I still think we can and will best em

It’s believable for sure - haven’t been in many situations like this as a team. Tough test for Fran and Company to get them coming out the gate hot

In my not so professional opinion, Miami is scary because they often play with their food and it's only bit them once. They just turn it and go crazy, which means that when they're locked in, their offense is damn near impossible to stop.

This is a win or go home game. They HAVE TO be locked in from start to finish. Couple that with our defensive shortcomings, then this game will get ugly fast. I can see a couple of big stretch runs pop and I can see the secondary getting picked on pretty badly.

I like our chances against passing QB's. Scrablers is where we suffer. Agreed about earlier comments, if we limit turnovers and get a few we can win.

GO CUSE>

Wake win dominating time of possession, keeping the ball out of the hands of the UM offense. No question they are really talented and will score a lot of points.

One thing this Syracuse team is good at is running long, time consuming drives. Agree with Go. If we avoid turnovers and control the clock, we have a shot.
