When you look at the history of this program, this loss to Maryland should not be that surprising. Whenever preseason expectations are high, they drop a game in an eye opening way. Whether its against a team they shouldnt lose to early (see Coach P years) or it's looking like they don't belong on the same field with an equal opponent (see Maryland game). Following this program is tiring. We have no choice but to put our faith in Dino and staff that they will figure this out. But this was an ugly and embarrassing way to lose.

On to Clemson, which will be tough. Just need to focus on being 3-2 heading into the meat of the ACC schedule.

I think we are about to find out Maryland is a sleeping giant, but no matter what the lose sucked and no one would have predicted the beating.

No excuses, but Maryland was already talented...then add in 6 Grad Transfers from Clemson, VT, OSU, etc and the roster shifts...that's adding 30% of a potential starting lineup that is prob 22-23 years old and practiced for years at a high level. Not to mention the effect a solid, senior QB can add to an offense.

The Grad Transfer thing is a fine tool...there should be limits. You should not be allowed to over-turn 30% of your starting roster like that. Just my opinion.
