Now that GMac is HC, what does next year's squad look like?

If we take anymore then 2 Siena players we got issues, that team did not win the regular season title in their league. If we got 10+ million in NIL id prefer almost a complete rebuild keep Kingz if we can, White, and Anthony because we have to, I would not overpay Freeman, he will be paid significantly probably to Providence, i would not match it. If the goal is to make the Tourney we have to get a serious infusion of talent.

I will assume Kingz isn't getting a random extra year stuff doesn't work out for us usually. Also Kingz should be playing 2 guard which will make the roster akward again between Kingz, Doty, and Anthony all playing 2G.

Anthony and White, because like you said we probably have to...
Doty will come for sure

We need size (P4 size), physicality, and shooting.

We need a lot, especially when u look at what some of these other ACC schools are bringing in already next year Duke is going to be next level, UNC bringing in two All American type players, UVA will be legit. It’s gonna be tougher next year then this year.

I agree Doty is the better player at the moment, but Kiyan will get the token start/be the starter to open the season, but will then be the first one subbed out. Doty will make it so Gerry can't take him off the court once he's on the floor, and will take over the starting role by the start of ACC play.
GMAC trusts Doty. At this point, I don't think anyone trusts Kiyan. Trust is huge.

Yup need massive size. I like White, he is bouncy but we need P4 level size across the front line. Then we need to fill in shooting because both our shooting guards aren't the best 3-pointing shooters.

Am I being too optimistic? I'm hoping/expecting that all of our starters will be new guys, except maybe Kingz, if his thing works out. I envision all of them better than the guys we had last year.

If George wants to be the backup PG, great! Sadiq can have the same role as last year. Donnie needs to move on. Everyone else from the existing roster that sticks around gets 10 minutes, max, if any.

I know we're speculating, but 2-3 of the names that keep getting mentioned are pretty safe assumptions to be here next year, and I'm already worried about shooting. They better be depth.

I’m not gonna speculate who will be back because I honestly have no clue other than Kiyan, but if we really have $10M or so in NIL I’d rather blow up the whole thing and pretty much start fresh. I get the coaching was bad this year but I think it would be crazy to essentially run back the same core with a few Siena players added.

Start?

Folefac seems like a poor man's Jyare Davis. He can definitely be a depth piece -- but like Davis, not big / good enough to be a starter in the ACC. Right?
What is Folefac's style of play? I've never watched him. At 245 if he's a physical rebound put-back dirty-work type PF, I could see him start if more skilled guys are around him. At his height I wouldn't want him at C unless he's got Kyle hops.

We need Kingz and Freeman back - Freeman plays both ends of the court - don’t know where the criticism is coming from - we desperately need an upgrade at PG - George can make some nice lobs if your /C has a 42 inch vertical - outside of that he cannot penetrate and he’s physically week - we need a center obviously - we could use a SF that can get to the rim

As a lefty, I’d like to see the first all left handed starting lineup. We are almost there.

Moesch
Kingz (he gets his waiver)
White
Folefac
Just need a big man. We have money. How about Eric Reibe from UConn. 7’1 stretch five lefty.

Disclaimer: This is not a serious post.

With the way things are trending in this post, we should have a good chance to win the MAAC. Possibly even be the favorites.
I am trying to be positive, but all this talk about Siena players is crazy, yes they had a great 3 days and yes they caught Duke sleeping, Dukes players flat out said they didn’t respect Siena before the game . People fail to mention how Siena got curb stomped by a Indiana team that finished 10 in big ten and missed the tourney, nobody mentions that performance.

Need way more than just a big man. We need 3/4 top level ACC starters on our team. PG/SF/PF/C all need massive upgrades. Good thing we have money to spend. The trick for GMac is going to be able to recruit the talent we need against all the other top-level P4 schools with equal amounts of money. That will determine if he we will be successful here or not.
