Now that GMac is HC, what does next year's squad look like?

It is clear that for at least one season under GMac we are going to have the NIL/RevShare/Player Budget/Vegas money/Funds/Bags/Dinero/Cash/Bucks/Resources...

Watching all these NCAA tourney games, one thing we’re definitely going to need next season is way more size (and physicality). Michigan, Illinois, Duke, Arizona, Tennessee all have huge size. JB’s philosophy for years was to try to be bigger than your opponents at every position. We’ve definitely gotten away from that. Gmac is gonna have to find some big guys in the portal. But he does have a potentially good big man coach in AO, who was one of my favorite SU players from that golden era. We shoud have won a championship when he was here if not for that post-season injury!

Think that we are getting ahead of ourselves. Is Estrella even thinking about entering the transfer portal?

Isn’t he still playing for Tennessee who is still in the Tournament?

I do agree that if he continues to play well? in the tournament that could boost his NIL earning potential and lean toward transferring.

He may be one of those rare players who are loyal to the college they are playing for and want to actually graduate from that college (even though that college is Tennessee (just joking)).

It feels like it would be easier to swallow if we just said there is no NIL so everyone can get back to being angry and panicking as a permanent state of being. Soon enough we will start learning about the staff, whose staying and whose coming ( all of course playing for pennies).

Could you be anymore negative. If it wasn’t outside the family not a good hire. They went for Shertz didn’t hit, Hodgson turned out to not be the guy. Now it’s Gmac and you hope he does well but being inside the family unlikely.

Uh, yeah... they could be a lot more negative. And deservedly so.

All things considered over the last 10 years, I think GMac's reception has been a lot more positive than expected given the circumstances.
