Wonder if family members etc qualify? I could see an absolute mess if there are no true rules. Multiple people could contend to be the real player’s agent, deals could be made without players’ consent possibly etc. Hopefully the colleges have their own legal representation to protect themselves and even the player. I don’t know if I’m interpreting this all correctly - seems wild.
I think that family member representation is an exclusion to the certification requirements.
It is up to GMAC to decide if he wants to take the risk with Donnie Freeman. There is talent but there are also injuries plus uninspired play. Does GMAC want him on his team?
Remember that GMAC and Red are pretty close. Probably talked a lot about Donnie. What would Red say about Donnie? Would he want him at Virginia?
Yeah, I don't know the ins and outs of who is directly responsible, but my point is that both moves reflect a more modern approach to basketball that was sorely needed.

Too be honest I hope so he at 6-6 and having played point guard and being a good shooter and passer gives you someone who can play 3 positions, PG, SG, SF., that's a nice piece to have on your bench. Someone having an off night or foul trouble you plug him in .

Really? You need to ask that question? GMac told everyone what kind of player he’s looking for, and all of Fennell’s highlight vids show that he has everything Gerry looks for. Not Fennell’s fault that Autry didn’t play him.
Highlight reel videos always look good. I’m just asking what Fennell has that makes him a GMac type of player. It’s a reasonable question given how little Luke played. I’d be fine with Luke staying, by the way. I had high hopes for him
