If the OL this year can play to this level, watch out. More speed and playmakers now and 2023 GS is better than 2010 RN. Lemon would be a nice piece, but Chewy and Sales don’t make the two deep.

Pugh and Tiller good careers at the next level, Bart had a cup of coffee, Hay was a mauler, Chibane was young but adequate.

I was there. I miss those Tampa games.

I was there. I think me, TexanMark, Cuseregular and storange helped to will that drive to happen.

The team deserves some credit too. ;)

Good times.

I watch old game clips during the summer for a bit of hype. This is definitely one in the rotation.

It's an example of an excellent drive in a game where offensive performance wasn't particularly good overall.

13 points is... not great.
Not really the point. I thought the object was to win the game. As you are well aware they leaned on the defense that year and limited the mistakes Nassib would make.

That drive was perfect.

I remember going into that season nobody was expecting much from the passing offense, with Nassib taking over and the WR room in transition. That team had a couple rough games like UConn and BC, but the team leaned on DC/Bailey on offense and 10 returning starters on defense and got to a bowl.

Yep

yep with the exception of the Pinstripe Bowl, our defense had to win games for us

So typical of this place, post a video that should be a fun watch for everyone, but no, someone has to break out a 13 yr old axe to grind and have a piss take.

I didn’t even post yet!

I remember that drive, I was in Ocean City, MD. Weird that I remember that but I do. Offense may have been ugly at times but we started beating teams that we weren’t beating.

Yep. Yr two after one of the worst four year stretches of offense not just in the program, but in the last 50 years of the sport.

And a perfect example of an old football adage: Run the ball, win the game. It helps when you have an offensive line that can road-grade the opponent's defense. Starting in a hole doesn't matter. With solid blocking and a big FB (Harris), we carved out some room, then hit them with thunder (Carter) and lightening (Bailey).

Notice that Nassib didn't have to do much ... very little reliance on QB except some screens and short yardage passes to keep the defense guessing.

Thanks for the Marrone memories, GO (with a shoutout to LeMoyneCuse).

Oh come on. Get over yourself and don't be a child.

I acknowledged it was an excellent drive. It's not an unreasonable take that for as excellent as it was, it's a single example from a game where at no other point in the contest did the offense and the line perform at that level. So yes, let's pattern the outcomes we want off of the single best drive, absolutely. But that was unusual.

Would I like our offense to be so good this year that they perform at the level of TD scoring 99 yard drives? YES OBVIOUSLY

Have a weekend.

Nassib looks to have a clean jersey at the end of that drive. Great work o line!
Speaking of, those are still my favorite jerseys (heck uniforms) of the last 15 years or so. Uh oh! I hope I didn't just start a uniform thread takeover!

Under center, fullback dives, throws to the TE, power running game...what dimension did I just land in?

Such an interesting year in retrospect. Only won 2 games at home which were against Colgate and Maine, but won 4 road games against BE teams. I don't think many of us would've expected that before that season

What’s the title of the thread?

I’m not the one to go out of the way to inject a negative element.

sorry if you don’t like getting called out on your bs
