I was at one when I was 12. Beer was fantastic

Mugs were a little heavy though

I was there a few years ago. The parade is awesome. If you want to get into a tent, be ready to be there early or be ready to wait in line and push your way in. The tables at tents are all reserved, so the only way to get a beer (at least for me in Haufbrau tent) was to wait in the middle until one of the ladies brings you over a $15 1L beer. I got 2 at a time. Mostly Americans in the big tents. Buying beer/food in the tent was surprisingly hard.
