I think he does unless something comes out between now and then that would have the school dismiss him. I wouldn't think there is any type of suspension forthcoming. Once the BOT feel they have a good enough reason they will terminate him. Otherwise he will coach until the end of the season. However, I give it a zero percent chance that JB is coaching next season.

90% he coaches tomorrow night. 0% he coaches next season.

You just might be right, 690. I'm sure that this has aged JB about 10 years and taken a certain amount of drive out of him.

80% chance he still retires when he feels he is ready.Going for 1,000 wins.GO ORANGE! GO JIMMY!

AND G-TOWN STILL SUX
AND IT SEEMS BERNIE DOES TO

99.999999999 percent he coaches tomorrow night. And not 100% only because he could get hit by a cheese truck, or struck by a piece of a falling space station.

agree, he'll definitely coach tomorrow. i think it will be weeks, if not months, before the whole story comes out. so he could very likely coach the rest of the year...and as long as he likes.

100%

If more stuff hits the fan ... the game will be postponed. ;)

I've feared the same thing. However, someone on this board posted this photo over the weekend.

Great photo. And it looks like Boeheim's got every bit of drive he ever did.

Who knows how this changes in coming weeks or months, but the guy in that photo is clearly someone who lives to win basketball games.

That picture is great.

Man, that would be de-grating

I think if he get's fired it would be a few days before the next game to ensure the safety of the students/fans/players in case of a potential riot. That said, I think he is coaching tommorow.

100% tomorrow
60% next season - higher than most think because of 1) perceived committment to incoming players & 2) because if he does step down after this season then this mess will definitely be seen as the cause
0% season after that

100% and no doubt a few more years after that...if nothing comes out that he knew anything...he is a free man

I agree, I think he wants to leave a legacy and give Hopkins a clean program with a great chance at succes. I see Boeheim coaching this year and next.

Interesting thought that he will want to distance himself from this (assuming he escapes it). But I'm wondering how much of the "perceived commitment to incoming players" is directly related to Coleman? Every year, there will be new recruits coming in. Maybe someone like Noel the year after. He's got to leave some time. Do you think he feels more obligated to DaJuan?

I think he might feel obligated to see Syracuse through this mess and once we are free of it, he will hand it over to Hop.

I'd put the odds at just under 100%, with the only possibility is that the incident triggers a stroke. This has to be very personally upsetting. Imagine hearing something like this about a trusted friend who you have known for almost 50 years. It would shake many of us to our core. JB is a good man, but he is only human.
