A couple D playmakers and basically scout the SEC hard for guys the staff knows is talented that didn't play much.

I'm optimistic Jakhari can be a decent QB if he's learned anything from McCord - but he needs WRs who can beat press coverage.

Coaches who can teach tackling.

How often do you see a Syracuse player
- Dive at the ball carriers feet?
- Drop to their knees on contact and hope to drag the ball carrier down?
- Get driven backwards on contact?

Tackling can be taught
- Keep your head up
- Run through the ball carrier on contact. Ballcarrier a don’t drop to their knees so you have to meet force with force.
- FINISH the tackle, drive the ballcarrier backwards.

We had a tackling circuit that we practiced every day. Each station of the circuit emphasized a different element of tackling. EDD = Every Day Drills.

Some players take to the teaching better than other. The ones who can execute what is taught play. Those who don’t, don’t play.

The coaches know what we need. If you check out 2025 recruiting list, there are 5 OL. Problem is, this is the position that requires time to develop. So finding a couple to plug in from the portal is a priority.

Perfect opportunity to get freshman QB Williams some snaps in the Pitt game but it appears that Coach Fran wanted to get McCord another 300+ yard passing game.
