I have seen QB#1 go down with injury on a bunch of middle of the road football teams over the years. I have never seen a team that played as poorly on offense as this SU team with their back up QB's. I really like Nixon as a play caller but I think he is more of a Pro OC at this point in his career. He has his offense and needs someone that can run it. I did not see meaningful changes to the game plan with filtering in new plays that made easy reads and added creativity for getting the ball down the field for young QBs that could put them in a position to succeed from week to week for most of the year. I see Back ups all the time at least move the ball somewhat after getting 2 or 3 games under their belt. I think we need to bring someone in to put a set of fresh eyes on the offensive gameplan. What we saw this year was unacceptable for at least the last 4 games on offense. Not addressing the D in this thread as we all know they under performed for most of the year. What a tough kick in the nutZ season after such a fun one last year. One last thing.. who the Hell is judging QB talent on this team? I find it troubling that coaches could not see in practice what our QB room looked like with Collins. I think we could have been more creative on Scheme to get him easier reads when he was in.. but anyone watching more than 1 game of film could tell he did not see the field at all...
