I'm just thinking long term. Throw all the time. McCord is very good, big fan, but he's not impossibly irreplaceable great, I'm hoping this continuesMcCord is not good enough - he is elite
Good to knowBig big caveat I should've noticed sorry about that
Defensive SRS is hurt by special teams. It's so early enough where gift tds matter and weigh heavily
SRS works great with enough data and tells you how you did
Yards per okay is a better predictor with limited data imo
I'll get on a computer later you figure out where we rank in yards per play margin. Probably middle of the pack

Getting the qb from maybe the best team in college football ain’t happening often. We hit the lottery getting Kyle and unless Syracuse is willing to pony up some crazy dollar figure it is going to be nearly impossible to get this type of qb play anytime soon.I think McCord is irreplaceable great between the ears. Going to be hard to plug and play that kind of elite level field IQ, experience and cerebralness.

How awesome would it be if somehow we could retain McCord for another season?
I suspect this is right but they got a qb and they're letting him chuck it and if they keep doing that everything will be fine despite a bunch of smaller things that I'm not crazy aboutI think McCord is irreplaceable great between the ears. I think he is not a guy you can replace. He’s easily the past passer in Syracuse history and it’s not closeI'm just thinking long term. Throw all the time. McCord is very good, big fan, but he's not impossibly irreplaceable great, I'm hoping this continues
I honestly don't remember when the defense was ranked that highly.Remember when those rankings were flipped
QB is great. He is irresponsible sometimes. Many of the near picks or picks are completely avoidable. Everyone has something to work on, even Kyle.
The D & specials & the running game are what are going to determine if this season is good or great.
Those D numbers are awful, especially against our schedule.

The D needs to cg it's mission, whatever it is, to give Kyle more opportunities.I agree about McCord but at the same time when you throw it 50 times a game, those plays are bound to happen.
I hate a bend but don't break D. I also think it is a horrible match for an O like ours that can put up yards and points. You don't want your O sitting on the sideline and losing TOP. That being said if the D does its job you are limiting big plays and points. The problem is the last few games we have been giving up those big plays, and points.
Style aside, there is zero excuse for the poor tackling we have seen all year long. That is soft and not Northeast strong.
That's what Brown's here to do. If he can't, I didn't think he's gonna make up for it. I just didn't want you be a hypocrite, good QB and throwing a lot of 80% of this, so if he can keep finding QBs, then I shouldn't complain about the 20%I think he is not a guy you can replace. He’s easily the past passer in Syracuse history and it’s not close
Yes, I think he’s trying to mask a poor defensive backfield that will get toasted over the top. If we could tackle, it would be working better but the tackling is awful. The D needs to cg it's mission, whatever it is, to give Kyle more opportunities.
I sorta accepted the 10 yards off stuff 20 years ago when we were severely outmatched. It sucks now. What advantage does 3 vs 7 yards off really give anyone anyway?
Why tighten up inside the 20 when you could do the same from the other 20?
What 4D chess does it give us to allow 6 yard chunks after 6 yard chunks against Stanford?
Why are we tackling guys forward for 3-5 more yards?
Are we trying to mask some deficiency?
