Official 2025 New York Football Giants Thread: A New Hope

Been a Giants fan since the mid 60's. And this game might be rock bottom.
Considering a lot of Giants fans are also Yankees fans, I will withhold comment on if the day and season is a total loss. But, as of right now, it's hard to be optimistic.

But, its still better than be a Jets/Mets fans.

I’d rather watch a bad team that might just have found their QB versus watching a mediocre team where you know for sure the QB is not the answer.

I could care less about wins and losses. Just want to see Dart develop.

You have a QB, you may, at some point have a shot.

Without a QB you need everything else to be A+ to have a shot.

I think the former is easier than the latter (85 Bears and 2000 Ravens)

Giants DE's were causing problems for the Eagles with their speed. Speed and power vs size and power went to the speed last night.

Jaxon looks like the real deal, only his 3rd start and he’s looking off safeties, standing in the pocket willing to take a hit to deliver balls, and showing veteran level patience. Nothing seems forced with him. Showing up like that on prime time, on a short week, with Wandale Robinson as his WR1 against the defending super bowl champions and a Vic Fangio led defense speaks volumes.

AFC West team fan so truly neutral. These Giants look fun. Mara looked like a disapproving college dean up in the box not used to this exuberance.

Well, he is suffering from brain cancer, so I wouldn't expect to see him jumping up and down.

Well said. I also love how he has a feel for when the pocket is collapsing. He knows when to pull it down and take off. I always felt that was one intangible that really can’t be taught.

Good heavens, I hope he’s better than him.

I was commenting more on his look and not his play. That said back then McMahon ran a lot for a QB. And from 1984-88 he went 36-5 as a starter, which averages to 7.2 Ws and 1 L.

I got you. I think though that in order to get to get to that kind of success, Jackson will need to be more of a factor without Walter Payton and the greatest defense ever assembled to lean on. But I do get your style comparison.
