He shot about 40% from the floor and 33% from long range. That's being a proven player?--Stats that clearly fell off from his frosh year I should add. That screams inconsistent to me.

We're you part of his fan club at JD?

either way as a frosh he averaged 8 ppg in 21 minutes and in his soph year he averaged 11ppg in 28 minutes so he hasn't really improve he just go t more miunutes

you do realize they have played 1 game right

This is Triche's 3rd year as a starter. Come on. The 2G is supposed to be a scoring position, not a defensive specialist.

okay you two...I am a gut and a numbers guy. I think that both bring something to the game. That being said, I agree that Dion is a better scorer and that Triche is a more team oriented guy. However, based on minutes played in first game...Waiters did better scoring pts/min and TOs but Triche did much better on assists, rebounds---and scoring was only a slight better per minute for Waiters.
22 6-9 2-4 0-0 0 0 2 1 0 0 1 14
16 3-10 0-3 3-4 5 7 3 0 0 4 1 9

What you both are missing is Scoop's effort

Only thing Scoop did better than either above was steals...otherwise he lacked in assists, scoring, rebounds...I would worry about our PG...

18 3-7 1-3 0-2 0 2 3 3 0 2 0 7

Another game like that for Scoop and let the board pick on someone other than Triche or Dion...c'mon its one game only so far

I don't care about how many rebounds our guards get. For all his faults, Scoop is much more important to this team than Triche. For the people that want BT to play the point--have you seen him dribble and try to take his man off the bounce? Yikes!

Honestly I am dissapointed in Triche thust far ( I know it has been 3 games). I feel his game should be coming around by now. Defensively he has been ok but he is very inconsistent on offense. When he get s it going he can play big time ball and has flashes of a solid guard but I don't want to go through this whole year saying "Triche has talent" and only see glimpses. I feel this would be the year a 3rd year starter would put together his offense. I'm not a pro dion or pro brandon. I just want to see development when I can see the talent is there.

...'can we stop playing favorites...Waiters had a good game...Triche did not play well...but don't tell me Scoop looked good...lets be honest...we need all three for 'Cuse to be good. It does not matter to me who starts etc...but let's be impartial in our views...and don't forget...the coaching staff has a lot of bullets and would not purposely play the wrong player.

Not playing favorites, I just want the better players to get the bulk of the minutes. Scoop didn't play great, but he handles the ball better on his worst day than Triche does on his best. Having all three play well would be great, let's hope it happens. I think Triche would be better served coming off the bench, but a demotion might cripple what already seems like a fragile kid. I hope Triche goes off tomorrow and gets some of his confidence back, nobody will be cheering there louder than me.

You sure do waste a lot of words on this board trying to goad people into criticizing Scoop.

Quite a supporter of the team, you are. "Hey, guys, stop arguing about our shooting guards and join me in dumping on our senior captain!"

Ugh.
