I like hating on UConn as much as the next guy, but they've gotten very competitive recently. I wouldn't put them ahead of Cuse unless you want to be a dentist or a puppeteer, but it's a very solid public school, and it's getting harder and harder to get in to.

It's teeth - brush, floss, and boom - there is all you need to know to be a top dentistry school.

In all seriousness, who cares, every school has something going for it (except Rutgers). People are going to lean their alma mater's way no matter what. As for cost, some choose to bite the bullet to get the degree they want - no way i would have forgone the SU/private school route for my degree but that's just me.

Yeah kinda agree with the Husky here...I never gave a crap about the Big 10 either...FB is generally regional.

Well, I think the larger point is that all football fans follow the top teams from the major conferences to some extent each year. You're sizing up who is going to compete for the national championship, and the bowl slots.

So, at that level, the neutral fan from anywhere USA doesn't care about UConn, and only a small percentage more care about us. We could move back into that "Barons" level, I think it was called in that article. I'd be very happy if we can pull that off. We've been competitive with these teams before. No reason to think we can't compete again, especially with the dollars going up significantly. That should solve a lot of problems in terms of facilities.
