It's teeth - brush, floss, and boom - there is all you need to know to be a top dentistry school.I like hating on UConn as much as the next guy, but they've gotten very competitive recently. I wouldn't put them ahead of Cuse unless you want to be a dentist or a puppeteer, but it's a very solid public school, and it's getting harder and harder to get in to.
In all seriousness, who cares, every school has something going for it (except Rutgers). People are going to lean their alma mater's way no matter what. As for cost, some choose to bite the bullet to get the degree they want - no way i would have forgone the SU/private school route for my degree but that's just me.
