Offseason Focus for Each Player?

Bell - lift and play pickup on outdoor courts with double rims. Learn how to drive, rebound, compete, and play the game - beyond shooting.

Copeland - shoot the ball. Do whatever Bell used to do.

Brown - lift and work on a 15 footer.

Taylor - lift and play.

Benny - lift, shoot off the dribble with some arc.

Hima - play the game and develop instincts. Live in the gym, catch and dunk some medicine balls, and hammer on maybe one power move down.

Carey - lift and play a lot of basketball, and develop instincts and learn what your niche is.

They’re all going to need to learn to play together, especially with a point guard they’ve never played with, this year is going to have a lot of bumps and bruises.
Absolutely...the biggest challenge is all of them have to learn to play together.
Things will be a bit easier if Judah Mintz - experienced at running the show - comes back.

But it's hard to recall a time when the Orange had this much raw talent right across the roster.

James Naismith's first idea was to give you points if you can throw the ball into a basket. It's still his best idea. Who do we have who can do that - well enough to make the defense come out and guard him. We need at least one such guy, preferably two. Bennie is the only one who shot a good percentage from three last year but he did that as a fourth option. Now the defense will be keying on him.

A few words for each player.

Bell- stronger
Taylor- quickness
Brown- stronger, mid-range
Hima- post moves
Taylor- rehab
Benny- shooting form (continue the improvements)
Copeland- shooting, decision-making (watch film)
