I really hope people here aren't going to be seriously disappointed when he puts on a Clemson hat at the UA game. Barring any circumstances, that looks like the choice. We did the best we could this visit. Don't think it will be enough. Maybe we'll get a hat on the table.
nah - odds are the other hats would be 'bigger' name schools in some sad attempt to make Clemson look better when he puts on their hat

Would be nice to see a Syracuse hat out there and fantastic to see him grab it. We are due to get one of these guys sooner or later.

Noooo, next you will tell me my unrequited love for JLH will not be enough to win her over. Damn you Bnoro, Damn you all to hell.
From what I understand about JLH, if you mention "marriage" to her she will be yours forever.

all 3 schools are even at the top, but Clemson is his leader

(seriously. he said that.)
Thanks B. Not holding out much hope but i wish the kid the best on whatever his choice. If he goes to Clemson i hope we smoke them.

We got back in the picture a little bit this weekend, right? Maybe his friends can push him over the edge for Syracuse. Laray has to jump on board and then he and Gus can sell him on how they can continue the NYC pipeline to Syracuse and how they can show the ACC and the rest of the college football world what NYC football is all about.

@orangeskin
@CuseNationFOX After reading that story, sounds like Dr. Gross and the administration need to sign Marrone to a long term deal.

oh jeez.
When do they plan to announce an extension for Marrone? I have no question that it is/will be done, just not sure what the wait is. I guess Doug is out on the road alot, but I figured we'd have some numbers by now.

The kid has to realize that to be a truly big name he needs to be a big fish in a little pond. I'm sure he'll be a contributor at Florida or Clemson if he chooses one of them. But at Syracuse, he will be the premier player who is spotlighted and focused on at the beginning of every telecast. Cuse will also give him the best opportunity to leave early for the pros and start making his millions. He may start out as a 3rd down back at Clemson and not start playing every down until his 2nd or 3rd year depending on who is ahead of him. It's all about playing time.

Ask Easley how that worked out for him ... kid has been at UF for 3 years now and nearly left once already ... its amazing how much of a dose of reality these guys get once they sign that paper going to programs like that.

He's very raw. Not sure he'd start next year. He's not a Jadeveon Clowney come in as a freshman and dominate every down. He'd probably start out as a 3rd down sub here too. Unless you know Clemson's DE/OLB depth chart (shot in the dark, you don't) then don't talk about his prospects to start. If he's as good as you think he's going to be (premier player spotlighted and focused on at the beginning of every telecast, going pro early and making his millions) then why wouldn't he play right away at Clemson or Florida too?

I swear people don't use logic here.

Visit went as good as possible, but don't cuss at the kid when he doesn't choose SU. He is still only 18 years old whatever he does.

Best of luck to him regardless. Let's not act like Rutgers fans.

Actually, I think he's only 16 or 17...not nit picking your post ...just pointing out he's a really really young high schooler making a huge decision...

If we were Rutgers fans and we get Ebo we would begin searching for ideal locations for the national championship trophy. They would also be asking their governor to arrange for NYC to give them a ticker tape parade.couchburn

If I was a Rutgers fan and we landed EO, I would jump into my 1987 IROC Z and I would take the T-tops off, even if it was cold enough outside to freeze the toxic waste in the swamps and I would let the wind blow through my heavily greased hair and I would scream with joy at the top of my lungs until a bird hit me in the face.

Didn't think Chris Christie setting up a ticker tape parade in NYC would make it's way into the Ebo thread.

Boom, I was way off.
