Yeah, I am full on team Beth. Love her on the call. Love her being from Cuse and love rooting for her nationally.

I had issues for the first few games covered by a female broadcaster. I consider myself a strong supporter of equal opportunity but apparently have male chauvinist issues in this area. It was weird. I was 'why are you having a problem with this'? 'I don't know; I guess I am a jerk'. 'Get over it, listen to them; they a doing a good job'...

Over time Burke and Mowins won me over and shown me they are solid broadcasters. No issues with them. Most of the Raycom on air talent remains on my 'hate to listen' list though. Not sure that will ever change. Is Raycom going to be out of business when the ACC Network starts? At least as far as covering ACC sports goes? I hope so.

I feel like women have to work so much harder to gain legitimacy in sports broadcasting, and have to be way more polished and mistake-free. And men are allowed to be goofballs on the set (Lou Holtz, Seth Greenberg, guys like that), whereas women really aren't.

it took time for me to fully embrace them as well. Just foreign sounding at first but im all for it now. Trailblazers. And for the most part, they know their stuff way more than the Raycom announcers.

I do think we've been conditioned over a lifetime to hearing male voices doing sports broadcasts. Sadly many just knee jerk to the female voice itself instead of the quality of the content. I heard that the within seconds of her first MNF broadcast twitter lit up complaining about her voice, obviously giving no time nor credence to what she was actually saying but her voice itself. I would hope that over time, hearing female voices in what has been considered 'male' roles will be a moot point and just the quality of the broadcasters knowledge will be judged.

It's like when she called MNF. They only let her because ABC/ESPN wanted a woman to call MNF. There was ton of more talented play by play annoucers that should have been given a chance before her.

I think that is changing. Jessica Mendoza is allowed to be goofy and she does a great job. I'll take her over Joe Buck or the insufferable John Sterling.

My understanding is that Raycom will be doing the ACC channel.
