Okie State - Oh Oh

'The rapid ascent of the Oklahoma State University football program into a national powerhouse is examined in a five-part series to run across SI’s platforms"

And you guys are upset Syracuse has been down for so long. At least we run a 'clean' program. Oh man, I hope to God we do. We aren't that inept are we. ;)

Just once, would love to see SI or any other sports media venue apply the same level of scrutiny to any successful SEC football program.

there was supposed to be something coming out on alabama last week in SI. got a lot of attention on sunday evening - and then didnt hear a single peep after that.

Can you say "screwed"?

What are the chances that Les Miles gets some kind of discipline if the whole sex thing is proven? He interviewed these girls for what was essentially an escort service.

I wonder what the interview process consisted of?

Awesome, here comes more finger-wagging, tisk-tisking and righteous indignation about a system that everyone has known is disgusting for decades.

I'm getting onboard with the notion that colleges should just incorporate football and hoops teams as professional endeavors and "sponsor" them as an essentially seperate business from their academic side of the house.

As disgustingly unsavory as that might seem, at least it would end the hypocrisy.

Wasn't there something about T. Boone pulling his money from the program if something like this ever came out?

Yep, could it possibly be more unsavory than the way things operate today?

As much as I love my alma mater and college sports in general, sometimes I think the whole thing should be blown up.

nevermind. i decided to research what the thing on bama was... wow...

google lars anderson alabama story if you want to find out.

that guy should be fired IMHO. Im not even kidding.

It looks like Oklahoma State hit all the major food groups. This should be fun.

Wonder who will be next on the SI tour? Do they ask permission first? Hi, we'd like to hang around the program, document everything you do that breaks rules. Les Miles is the kind of guy I picture saying yeah sure why not.

I bet the coaches wives cannot wait until part 4

Okie St? Meh.

Give me one of these reports on Alabama, Florida, Oh St, LSU or USC and then were talking. Or how about Kentucky in basketball? Would love to see what would happen if one of the giants got "uncovered" like this.

That's right, nothing would happen. College football is corrupt. There should be salary caps.

After seeing the NCAA bungle its way through the Miami investigation for two years, and after seeing what nonsense Yahoo and CBS sports and Mark Schwarz reported about our basketball program, I'm going to take this as people with an axe to grind taking things out of proportion.

And if the NCAA actually investigates, expect a decision no earlier than 2016.

They just got T-Boned.

Ha...good one! Didn't the NCAA screw OSU with the receiver that saw Neon Deon a few years ago? I'm not sure OSU has a buddy on the NCAA payroll to get away with this.

I'm okay with the whole escort service for players thing, as long as its also available to all to all of the other students on campus.

And as long as I am sort of on the topic of benefits to players...
If players start getting paid to play, I think fans should get paid if the players play really crappy.
