Class of 2020 OL Austin Collins (OH) TRANSFERRING TO SYRACUSE (4/19/25)

Lets Go Goal GIF by UEFA

There we go. Let’s keep up the nice additions and stop the significant losses.

I think the list is:

OT (E Cruz replacement)
WR (T Peña replacement)
QB (M Johnson Jr replacement; someone with experience just in case)
LB (M Wax replacement; someone who can run with experience and toughness))
CB (C Lewis replacement; someone physically mature with experience)
PK (assuming Jackson Kennedy loses his appeal)

Don’t see us bringing Angeli in. We have a lot of needs and can’t afford top of the line merchandise across the board. Honestly, I think QB is relatively low on the list of these priorities.

Let’s see what happens.
Based on what I'm seeing WR isn't a need. We are stacked.

Former Louisville offensive lineman Austin Collins has transferred to Syracuse, 247Sports reported Saturday. Collins is entering his sixth college season and recently underwent shoulder surgery.
A three-star prospect in the 2020 class, Collins rarely played in his first three seasons at Louisville. He appeared in 10 games in 2023 and started seven, allowing just one sack. A year later, the 6-foot-3 guard established his role as one of the Cardinals’ best interior offensive lineman.
He played in 12 games and started seven at right guard, allowing zero sacks and earning an 85.1 pass blocking grade, according to Pro Football Focus. The mark ranked 38th in the country among 584 guards.

Collins entered the transfer portal on April 14 and committed to the Orange five days later. He enters a unit that will lose Enrique Cruz Jr. and David Wohlabaugh Jr. likely to the portal. The right guard position is headed by Joe Cruz, with 6-foot-7 freshman Byron Washington practicing throughout the spring at the position. Mark Petry will slide from guard to center and Joshua Miller is in line to start at left guard.
