Class of 2025 OL/DL Jaelyne Matthews (NJ) Verbal to Rutgers

What research did you do to determine that. Many sports reports I have read has that the money is definitely a factor in many recruits.
I didn't do any here, but we're talking about a regional-level OL/DL recruit. He's not getting a 200k offer to go to RU. None of these HS kids are outside of the national 4/5 star kids. The transfer market is where all the big NIL discussions are happening.

Blaming NIL/what a kid is asking for after we didn't land him is just a low blow and probably incorrect. Saying he wasn't a take is a low blow too.

In the transfer portal era, why bash a kid that could eventually transfer to your school?

We def get some wild takes around here. Mostly just trying to make ourselves feel better, especially when it comes to Rutgers.

Our coaches are doing a great job, we dont need to disparage a kid just because he didnt choose Syracuse. it's really weird.

I took it as he heard it as a data point. Meaning the staff may have made a value decision.
Edit: For the record I have no idea if true or not, just read it that way as a data point.

I personally didn't say he was a take. My point was NIL money can be a contributing factor on committing to school. All well taken points tho

Let's not do this. Very rare that HS fb recruiting wins/losses are based on NIL.
I'm just saying he ended up at Rutgers for being an immature bag chaser. Lol

This is being said by Rutgers fans btw.

Nobody said that's why WE didn't get this kid.
