Class of 2023 OL Naquil Betrand (PA / MD) TRANSFERRING TO SYRACUSE (12/17/24)

The kid has to be hungry (figuratively though likely literally as well) and if he can play we should have him for 3 years at a position of need. If anyone can get him to play HCFB can. And if not he is gone next year. Can't teach size. I like it, almost no downside.

Hope you are right. Two different [admittedly factory program] schools, two transfers in two consecutive seasons.

Kid is massive. Hope he has the drive, and that third time's the charm.

Too soon for this, or...

There are plenty of kids compiling one mistake on top of another with this system. If Alabama offered him a decent NIL deal last year, he may have just said the hell with it an taken the money. A month later you realize you made the same mistake all over. I don't fault the kid for being poorly advised, whether the kid can play with his head on right I have no idea. Hopefully, he can settle in and start working on things to get on the field and contribute. Whatever he has done to this point, clearly isn't working.

If Coach EROB thinks he can help after watching him go agaisnst his D line 2 years ago than so be it. Kid might never pan out, the odds are stacked against him but he wasn't recruited heavily twice for no reason either.
