Mine was a Buick LeSabre bought for $450 bucks from a friend of my brother. We called it the Flintstone mobile because the flooring was so rusted out, you could actually look down & see the road underneath you. We'd hit a puddle of water & it would shoot up from the bottom and steam up the inside of the car. Good times. My cars were a 56 Chevy I paid $100 for. It had a floor shift and the headlight srea was so rusted out the my head lights shined in the trees
A couple years later I bought a Rambler American from the Colonel who ran the ROTC
He had gotten a DWI and was being sent to Viet Nam. It was a fire sale, $200. It got good mileage, s dollar a week and the seats turned into a bed with a pull of a lever

I had a Subaru GL station wagon in college that vibrated at 60 mph. Lent it to my brother when I went to Europe for two weeks, he seized the engine letting it run dry on oil. lights out!Every time I see his name.
We'd destroy Bama, by the way. #BomberPrideKid is a horse. Fran will have him starting and making the league. He has the tools. I love getting the pub from a transfer to cuse from Alabama vs Ithaca.
Just one of the "105". Humm?Alabama transfer OL no longer on Crimson Tide's roster
The University of Alabama football team is down an offensive lineman on its roster. According to rolltide.com, Naquil Betrand is no longer with the Crimson Tide. The transfer from Texas A&M has been removed from Alabama’s roster. The 6-foot-6, 326-pounder came to the Tide with a lot of potential...tdalabamamag.com

Not slighting your post at all. Just curious as to why he was removed from the roster. Not a good look for Naquil. Not sure what you mean. He was removed from Bama roster in October.
I'll trust HCFB on this, but this kid had better have approached him w/ hat in hand, and that's why he accepted. Not slighting your post at all. Just curious as to why he was removed from the roster. Not a good look for Naquil.
Let’s hope so. We don’t need any distractions.Maybe Fran and ERob are making clear that this is his last chance if he wants to do something in football. No more screwing around.
Like I’ve been saying for a couple of years, guys want to play, just because you aren’t starting as an OL at Bama doesn’t mean you aren’t an immediate upgrade at SU and above average ACC player.Despite the weight, despite transferring 3 times in 3 seasons, I think this is an important pickup.
We've seen the last two seasons how depth is critically important on the OL. In 2023 [Shrader's year], having two players slide into the starting lineup helped us overcome season ending injuries. Last year, we had numerous guys knicked up, but were able to withstand it by having adequate depth.
Now, the OL was still barely average last year. But as the coaching staff continues to improve that situation, depth is vital. Maybe a guy like Bertrand needs to come in and work his way up. He's clearly going to start out at the bottom of the pecking order, and have to prove himself starting in spring practice.
But just like Dave Wohlabaugh came from an SEC program, and immediately showed himself to be one of the better players once he arrived, this kid has played at ATM and Alabama -- maybe he'll also prove to be a cut above the incumbents.
Or maybe not, and he'll have to wait his turn.
Or maybe he'll be a two-deep guy who works his way in, but provides depth in case we suffer an injury. Either way, I like the pickup. To improve the OL, we need to add the best players we can, and let them fight it out such that the best players get the PT. Don't care who it is.
