Class of 2022 OL Zach Rice (VA) TRANSFERRING TO SYRACUSE (4/30/25)

kid has a very unDART and underwhelming CV for his HS ranking

Could be another kick the tires offer.

Charged with speeding and underaged drinking and driving. Played mostly on Special Teams.
Weird to me is that it looks like he purged his X account of any posts in 2024 after being a fairly regular poster.

Wait...how is he charged with underage drinking and driving and speeding when he wasn't the one driving the vehicle that killed the woman? Is the article missing something?
That was my reaction after reading that article, as well. So, unless I'm mistaken, he wasn't the driver of the car that crashed? Nor the one responsible for the person losing their life?

I may have the details wrong, but that's what I interpreted from the article.

Not trying to trivialize the loss of life, or these people driving exorbitantly fast, but that puts a slightly different spin on things.

There were 2 cars. Both going well over 100 mph one right behind the other. The first one crashed killing the driver, Rice was driving the second. Hence the charges.
It sounds like they were car racing. Living in San Diego we have this happen all the time, usually late at night, and there’s a gambling element involved as well
