??? You mean we should overlook his past which involved a girl getting killed because he can help us win football games. Got it. For those that have disagreed with my take on bringing in kids with troubled pasts, let me make myself clear. I keep thinking what would I say to a parent of a Syracuse student who got hurt or worse from the actions of a kid that had a bad background that I brought in to the school. Because I wanted to win football games. Or any other sport. When the parent asks me to explain why I brought that kid in. Now, you might say, any kid can make a mistake and that could happen. And you would be correct. But we wouldn't have been forewarned. I want to win as much as anyone on this board. But that is the background I come from. So, SUFnn44, since you brought this up, exactly what would you say to that parent I just described?

When I was an undergrad the players for the most part were far from choir boys. I was in a frat where several players destroyed our dining room because we had a party and we ran out of beer at 3 A M. I knew Two women who were brutalized by players, beaten, sexually assaulted, etc. I had a friend get dragged out of sutters and beaten up by three players for talking to a girl. Nothing happened to any of the players involved and all instances were brought to head coach Frank Maloneys attention. This was SEC level stuff and Maloney never had a good team. Second chances are fine but guys need to know it is last chance U and they will be held to a very high standard. Go to class, come to practice get your rest, get good grades or get out.

There were 2 cars. Both going well over 100 mph one right behind the other. The first one crashed killing the driver, Rice was driving the second. Hence the charges.

I don’t think the young lady who unfortunately passed away was the driver. It’s my understanding she was a passenger

Man, can you imagine if we landed Rice, Pringle and Cook out of high school with their ratings then. I don’t know how this board would react lol.

Sure Cook and Rice haven’t lived up to their rating yet but both have multiple years left to fulfill that. It’s not for a lack of talent. As you aren’t a 5 star unless you are uber talented. If all 3 can put it together here at Cuse. We’ll be in prettyyyyy good shape
