That's exactly what happened. He grew up in a PSU hotbed part of NJ so the allure of that program was just too much.

This one still particularly pisses me off because it wasn't after the whole "Marrone high road" stuff involving all the potential PSU transfers because Bill O'Brien was his buddy. Marrone's seat was barely cool after leaving for Buffalo and O'Brien plucked Cabinda away. I have a high opinion of O'Brien but this one just irked me.
