Bad hire is a bad hire, firing them 9 game into the season is a bad look no matter how it's framed up
“Bad look” to who? If he is not getting the job done or causing other issues it is hurting the team to keep him on. Fixing that issue is more important than looking bad on a fan forum to a minority of posters.

Yeah but realizing it and replacing them is also a good thing. I hired a carpet salesman who was supposed to help sell flooring and it didn’t work out and I knew it in 2 months so I let them go. Making a mistake is ok as I’m sure u have made them but correcting them quickly is the key.

We actually have a few former players or coaches who COULD fill the role of OL coach (but I doubt many or any will). Marrone in NE has been discussed. Adazzio on TV has been discussed, and he has ties to Fran. I believe John Reagan was OL coach at Maryland when they embarrassed us. Brian Picucci, a TE from the early 90s is an OL coach with the TB Bucs, Pugh is a nice “out of the box” idea. Feels like there may not be real options, but plenty of guys connected to the program worth talking to.

liked the size of the big frosh byron washington. not one ounce of technique but a lot of mass. maybe we could hand off to byron on those classic fran brown nevermake 4th and shorts. go big or go home i say !

I like Willis, and I think he can be a decent RB, but running him inside with a bad offensive line that can't run block is not working.

I've noticed in recent games that he'll get the ball, follow the inside play call running at full speed, and realize there is nowhere to go. He'll stop and stutter-step as he looks for a crease that isn't there.

That delay results in the defensive linemen (plural) stopping him in his tracks. He'd be better off maintaining his speed and just plowing ahead. The stutter step at that point when there is no hole is futile.
