You don’t think we need a new DC???If I was betting, I’d only wager on a new OC/OL. And I’d be perfectly fine with that outcome.

Why do you say that RC? Do you think we can do better than Nixon? If I was betting, I’d only wager on a new OC/OL. And I’d be perfectly fine with that outcome.
That would be replacing the wrong coordinatorIf I was betting, I’d only wager on a new OC/OL. And I’d be perfectly fine with that outcome.

I’m pragmatic. Nixon was going to leave anyways and I think we’re seeing the downside of his system if you don’t have a high end QB. He’s stubborn and sticks to his system. That works in the NFL but counting on a top end QB every year at Syracuse is hard. Why do you say that RC? Do you think we can do better than Nixon?
Don’t disagree. But I’m talking myself into it given I think it’s what’s likely. That would be replacing the wrong coordinator
I just think no system works without a decent qb. Pick any system where Collins could run efficiently. The mistake Nixon and Brown made is having Ricky as backup and their miss on evaluating him. you're probably right. I'd be fine with Nixon returning given Steve though I do think we need a new OL coach based on performance. But I still suspect we have a new OC.I just think no system works without a decent qb. Pick any system where Collins could run efficiently. Another thing to think about is that it was reported that Nixon signed a multi year high dollar deal (for a coordinator) with large buyout just this past year. We were kind of expecting to only get this year out of him but also assumed he’d be poached by NFL or wherever else and they’d pay the buyout.you're probably right. I'd be fine with Nixon returning given Steve though I do think we need a new OL coach based on performance. But I still suspect we have a new OC.
Clownyeah instead let’s keep him here even longer, because it couldn’t do any more harmbizarre
Agree abot the DL-They are often invisible. Jobity is the only one making plays.Don’t disagree. But I’m talking myself into it given I think it’s what’s likely.
I will say Erob is at least listening to the consultants and more established DCs we’ve brought in. Hard to judge the defense last few weeks given injuries and the fact they’re on the field all the time. We need to fix the DL in offseason. Ultimately on him to recruit better players upfront.
1000 percent agree on oline coach. I also think Nixon stays one more year to fix this year on his resume. Could be wrong as I have 0 inside info.you're probably right. He is a total zero across the board.Same probably goes for OL coach. If he is a good recruiter, you may have to live with him as a mediocre coach. Get an analyst in here to do the non-recruiting parts of the job.

Missouri scored 17 against #3 A&M with a 3rd string QB. Our non-garbage time TDs since Angeli went down were a 15-yard drive and a defensive TD. I get the players issue... but at SOME level... this is an OC issue.Syracuse 2001. 10 wins. RJ Anderson and Troy Nunes.
I'm not sure how you even measure this but there are probably top 25 offenses with marginal quarterbacks.
To be fair, 2001 also had Dwight Freeney. Still, that team had better oline play and ran the ball.Syracuse 2001. 10 wins. RJ Anderson and Troy Nunes.

It's fun to think what Lincoln Riley would do with Angeli and some of the (expected) returning firepower.you're probably right. I'd be fine with Nixon returning given Steve though I do think we need a new OL coach based on performance. But I still suspect we have a new OC.

Yeah marginal and if we had marginal we would have beat some teams. If we had nines or Rj as backup we would be ok lol. Ricky is not close to marginal.Syracuse 2001. 10 wins. RJ Anderson and Troy Nunes.

Lincoln Riley?
I know who he is. What’s he got to do with any of this?![]()

You do? Your post made it seem otherwise, while mine seemed pretty self-explanatory.I know who he is. What’s he got to do with any of this?
So you have a fantasy of Lincoln Riley becoming OC at SU? Or is it landing Brown’s job next year after both are fired? You do? Your post made it seem otherwise, while mine seemed pretty self-explanatory.
Brown is not getting fired even if we have another bad season which I don’t see happening. So you have a fantasy of Lincoln Riley becoming OC at SU? Or is it landing Brown’s job next year after both are fired?
