on the long run that got called back, Whigham almost caught Fournette

He is so good tho. LOL The fact that he has to play another year of college is asinine.

Oh I agree, he's incredible but Bo Jackson is probably the best athlete I have ever seen. Once in a lifetime. Size, speed, strength.

LSU must be so concerned about his lack of speed!
On Fournette's other long TD run (62 yds?) I was psyched to see Morgan and Scissum running stride for stride with him. Morgan almost caught him. I believe Fournette is a 4.4/40 guy.

"Whigham almost caught Fournette"

Almost isn't the same as actually doing it.

The one where Morgan tried to swat the ball after he scored? I saw some LSU guys get after him after he did that.

Yep. I think he just wanted to let LF know "I'm right here with ya. You didn't dust me back there." It's not like he tackled him in the end zone. I saw nothing wrong with that play.

Edit: "Nothing wrong", other than the gaping hole he ran through and the fact that he went untouched into the end zone.

he could've been the best ever at RB if he hadn't been a pretty good but not great baseball player.

i thought this was strange, he got 20 attempts 5 times in his career.

i know they had marcus allen too but jackson was better by then

Agreed. I don't think it was anything.

Ya, and if LF had to run an extra 27 yards (equal to Estime's 89 yarder) Morgan would have caught him ;-)

most of the comments I see from scouts and espn "experts" is that Fournette is the real deal except for true high end speed. his power/vision/cutting are elite though. that first TD run was really nice, much better than his longer runs

I was more wondering what Whigham thought we was going to do if he actually did catch up to him!

I saw a quote from last season where Les Miles said LF is either the fastest or second fastest player for LSU. Not bad.

Apparently nothing since he didn't seem to make an effort to dive or really reach out for him.

He probably had it figured out, full time baseball, part time football equals less abuse! He was a power back with TRACK speed which is just insane

I almost caught him too... but he stopped before he got to me! He is a great RB! But you are right it is awesome that we have speed on the field also... There were a couple of plays I was hoping we would dive, reach out, something because our defenders were so close. I love this team and their heart. I hope we stay healthy the rest of the year, it could be a great ride for the fans...

Just watched that 30 for 30 on Bo last night. Anyone who wants to compare someone to Bo, should watch that (or watch it again).

The 30 for 30 on Bo needs to be turned into an actual movie. I played golf a few weeks ago at Bolingbrook Golf Club in IL. and my brother in law swears Bo Jackson was playing behind us. I saw him drive a ball over 500 yds. on a Par 5 so I'm pretty sure it was Bo ;)

Time to switch Morgan in for Whigham full time.
