Two observations:
1. If I'm a random player, even a walk-on, in the tourney and want to be memorialized in OSM, I'm pounding my chest all game long. The "beat of your heart" line shows Coach Cremins in both 1987 & 1996! This is a lot easier than changing one's last name to "Short" or "Long"!
2. If it occurred in 2016, Cipolla's shot would have left .8 seconds on the clock for Georgia. There would have been a 10 minute game stoppage to review the clock and Georgia would have had an opportunity to set up a desperation shot. Similarly, in '87 we would have had 3-4 seconds and a TO in pocket. Plenty of time to employ the strategy at the end of the UGA game; i.e. have DC throw a pass to half court, call TO, and set up a last second shot off the sideline inbounds.
