there will be more development over the season to look forward to. this years team was as good as it was going to be in december, and basically was killing time waiting for march. next year we will be pretty young, with alot of upside if the team can improve over the course of the season. some quick questions for next year:

1) will coleman be in good enough shape to play immediately? if so, does he give us a true back-to-the-basket low post scoring threat?
2) will christmas be able to play the wing effectively?
3) will triche take that senior step forward and emerge as a leader next year?

Rak bulking up and developing a go to move would be huge, really excited about his potential

Call me crazy, but I see parallels between next year's team and the 1987 team. Soph pg; Sr shooting guard; highly touted freshman named Coleman; steady, experienced forward at the 3 (Fair); and a Center (Christmas) who started coming on at the end of the season. That team got better over the course of the season as the players got comfortable in their roles. This team may have more depth coming off the bench.

Isn't that usually the case just about every year?

They really need to add a prime non-conference matchup or two so we don't have to wait until March to see how the team fares vs elite competition. If it's that difficult to schedule a home-and-home, then pick a neutral site. Just get it done.

yes, because the Big East is usually such a cakewalk.

no it's not always the case. this year our best players were upperclassmen, their roles were established pretty early on. next year our best players will be freshman and sophomores, there is a lot of room for them to get better over the season.

all you can do is schedule, you can't control how good teams end up being. everyone though florida was final four caliber, we played them home and home. we have played north carolina, kansas, michigan state on neutral floors all within the past couple seasons.

You mean like Florida? Even NC State went to the Sweet 16.

No question. Besides Swopshire and Kuric who do they even lose? They will be really tough!

I heard that Chane Behanan is a possible early entry candidate. Is that true? Anyone heard any rumblings to that effect?

If he's not, he should be.

If he has a big FF, that could seal the deal.

Here's hoping that Rak can keep developing & move towards a Rick Jackson type points & rebounds producer.
