Oronde Surgery Tweet

First step was successful surgery, great to hear.

Second step is to make sure we have a legit QB under center — I have faith in Dino and Beck to make sure that’s the case and have no worry that we’ll be able to field a competitive NIL deal.

Maybe Dino and Beck can’t get a bushy-bearded pilot that seems to have a very Ron Swanson-esque demeanor, but I have faith we’ll have someone that is at least solid.

Certainly has a decision to make. He won’t be able to participate in any draft work or preseason camps.

Has to crater his draft value. Is his best bet to comeback here and try to be ready for the majority of the season.
Only if they put grass in the dome

Glad the surgery went well! The issue will be is if he is 100% fully recovered in time for the combine and individual workouts. If so and teams can get accurate times/verticals/etc then I can see him going fairly high if he comes out. If not though, with being out the season and not being able to work out, I can't see teams risking a high draft pick.

He gets drafted for sure, but where you get drafted makes a huge monetary impact. Without having a need for immediate money, I imagine in the scenario he comes back, gets a LARGE NIL, and tries to have a monster season for SU next year to try to get into the first round (which he DEFINITELY has the skills and measurables for).

he's not coming back. i wish he did and maybe the fact he isn't carrying his family financially could impact that decision. Guy should really be a model. Could be the next Elimu Nelson (hahaha) and do tv. He's got the look.

i am willing to take a lap thinking he was being a business man sitting out. a broken foot is a broken foot. Can't play through that.

Maybe Rattler petitions for a 6th year...

I don’t think we can compete for the Sam Hartmans of the world because the big pocket P5 schools will pay big for a proven P5 QB, so I think our play needs to be an established G5 dual threat QB. We get that, with the schedule we have next year(no P5 OOC games, no Clemson or NC, we will see which new member we get to play) it can be a big year
