Oshae Brissett:

at the time he signed it, i understand why he took it (though at the time I still thought it was too small)...but that 1.7mil contract looks super puny right about now

hopefully he can re-negotiate cuz players that can put up 22 and 13 is not that common in the league

He'll be a free agent this off-season.

I root for Brissett, but gang…anyone on a roster who gets lots of minutes on teams that lose tend to get numbers.

See the Cornell transfer on Syracuse this year, for example.

Oshae has earned a place. But the record speaks volumes.

He has been productive any time he has been given minutes, including last year when he helped them to a playoff spot.

harden is getting what 44 mil?

even averaging 10 a game on a playoff team would be worth a lot more than 1.7

look at the salaries...no one gets 1.7 than can actually produce

he should push for more money at the end of the season - surely a team will scoop him up for bigger moeny

Look at his impact he had in last years playoffs. Pacers finished the season strong in large part to his play. His minutes have been all over the place this year and not really with proper rhyme or reason. They were better coached last year I felt which is kinda wild considering they have a championship coach now in Carlisle.

You're right, I misread this.

Club option next year. At $1.8M, have to imagine the Pacers pick that up.
I really hope so, he has the potential to be a great role player for them for a while.

Yeah, very friendly contract for the Pacers right now.

I don't think the NBA let's guys renegotiate contracts. He'll have to see through the terms of the current deal.

Oshae deserved to be a rotation player based off his production at the end of last year. I don't understand why the Pacers have been this bad. Carlisle has done a poor job there compared Bjorkgren did last year.

Yeah Carlisle looks like a guy who is ready to be sitting on a beach somewhere vs still coaching.

Agree. Not going to pretend I'm an NBA expert but that was mind-boggling that he fell out of the rotation to start this year

Pretty cool write-up on Oshae in the Indy Star.

I still remember that stretch this year where he got buried. He had that 18 games from game 10 through game 27 where he had 10 DNP’s. And the other 8 games he played a total of just 44 minutes. And he wasn’t hurt. Not sure what Carlisle was thinking.

If you take the 85 games and say that's a rookie season he averaged almost 7 points and a little over 4 rebounds a game over that span of games.

That's a pretty productive start.

When they do averages they only divide by the games played in.
