Oshae Brissett:

Shouldn’t “focus on free agency” be what his agent does for him?

Playing for your national Olympic team isn’t something that everybody gets to do.

And you’d think he would possibly be a starter, or at least, not as deep of a bench piece as he is in the NBA, which would allow him to get more film of him hooping out there.

Good luck OBrissy!
Hope it pays off for ya.

So, what do players do over the next month to focus on free agency? Is it to free up time to interview with teams?

Summer league? Honestly don’t know.

Tough off-season for him have to think he didn’t like the minutes he would have seen for Canada to say no.

What this means is his agent has advised him not to risk injury by participating in the Olympics because he might be a fringey enough player to not have great contract options, and those definitely evaporate if he gets hurt.

Canada crushing and Oshae still unsigned. I hope his agent didn't really screw him opting out of his second year. Doubt he's going to get anything other than the minimum.

Lots of vets that aren't that old still out there and not many roster spots.

Lonnie Walker just got the Celtics spot. Hopefully Z Oshae cans his agent for this.
Yeah, the article on Boston.com clearly states he (Walker) can be shipped down to Maine for paltry cash. I think you, once again, are jumping the gun here.

What a horrible move from his agent hope he gets signed soon. And to do this after winning a title when you can enjoy it for the entire off-season make appearances etc.

For all the bemoaning of college players and NIL resulting in bad mistakes Oshae opting out of a guaranteed contract with the Celtics tops any of them and he's much older and wiser and has earned more.

Whose agent is more incompetent. Brissette or Hassan Reddick?

Without really knowing the whole story of either player’s situation other than they are very different, I’d have to go with Oshae’s agent.

Reddick could be making millions of dollars if he wanted to right now even after his long holdout. He will have a job when he wants it (even if it doesn't pay him as much as he was asking for) and has a contract.

Update: just saw an article this morning he ended his holdout.

It’s looking like Oshae received some bad info and might not have had the luxury of giving up his player option to pursue other opportunities. He’s done some nice things at each of his stops, but he's still an end of the bench player. Reading articles, Celtics might keep that #15 spot empty for now. I’m wondering if he thought that would be there as a backup if nothing else panned out. Still hoping something materializes for him.

for an end of the bench guy he should have fired his agent and followed Jalen Rose's cardinal rule. Keep cashing them checks.

Agreed. Had the chance to make $2.58 million to run it back with his teammates.

It had to be a tad awkward at the White House get together with the 15 spot still open and the Celtics still not using it to bring him back.
