This is why the college football playoff as designed is perfect. A) Everyone who truly deserves a shot at a title will get it B) You only need to know the top 4 teams from week to week and C) Make or break games are still part of the regular season.

Don't forget about TCU vs Baylor!

I think a lot of people are already looking forward to 8 or 16 team playoffs, but I don't think I'd have a problem if it never expanded beyond 4 teams. I don't want to see the do-or-die urgency in these regular season college games go away. You expand too big, and these 2 vs 3, 5 vs 9, etc type match-ups become games about jockeying for a seed, not keeping national title chances alive.
