OK, this series is a bit of a cheat. Bob Seger formed the core of the soundtrack to the 1985 film "Mask," even though most of the songs were released in the 70s. The first of four I will post is the only one originally released in the 80s.
A sad thing about this film - Seger's music fit perfectly with the biker gang at the heart of the film. However, when it came time for the video release, the production company could not come to financial terms with Seger, so they stripped his music from the film and replaced it with vastly inferior Bruce Springsteen cuts (regardless of how much you like Springsteen, his music just doesn't fit the time and place as well as Seger). So, anyone watching the film today misses out on the original soundtrack.
