OT: How I'll spend my Memorial Day

Al

A little after my time. I was '74, had one sister in '76 and the youngest '82.
I feel bad about not mentioning a friend who has passed Fred Deblon who jumped on Î-Day with the 82nd Airbourne behind enemy lines Fred didn't speak about "killing Nazis but he was proud of not killing a young German officer in one of Hitler's lairs He came upon the German in a file room and was preparing to destroy documents there. Fred could have dropped him at that moment bu decided not to do so. I wonder if that kid remember tat moment if he lived long enough to appreciate that moment of mercy. I know that Fred was involved with action on a ˝remain bridge and that fight put down some German soldiers. This I got from his wife who is still alive in NJ although she is very sick. My wife and her are close friends. I won't forget my old friend. He deserves my memory and will have it until I croak.

1985, trumpet as well. And what a performance. To see how large the band was and to hear how great the music sounded is just a testament to the WG program and its greatness.

You graduated with Steve Palumbo from WG and IC?
