How'd that debut work out for ol' Mike?
Classic
229 yards passing...
16 yards rushing..
6 points...
No tight ends
and No fullbacks
Yep...its all in the system
This board is the best. On the one hand we've got people who say we are not yet at a point where we can judge Marrone's unproven offensive system heading into year four.Classic

On the other hand, we can safely say that Leach's proven system is a bust after the first game with his new team.
Would anyone care to wager on who scores more points this season between us and Wash. St.?

I think you're wrong. I think Mike Leach can take mediocre players and convert them into winners simply by installing his system. Over the long haul his offense has excelled everywhere he's gone. I'm guessing there has been variability in the talent at each stop. The presumption by many on this board is that the system is the key - that Mike Leach can take mediocre players and convert them into winners simply by installing his system.

However, a one game sample size doesn't prove that either way.
those two things are not mutually exclusive. your fact goes without saying.I don't think you understood the meaning of the posts.

The fact is that Mike Leach is pretty much like most other coaches - the bigger, the stronger, the faster and the smarter his players, the better he coaches.
No, but see, he does. But if you really think that Mike Leach has some special magical power or special insight I think you're fooling yourself.

all I'm saying is that it's a dink and dunk passing offense. Most people on this board would hate that.
To me it doesn't matter what the offense is as long as we score points.

I'll never forget this board after Chip Kelly's debut. Epic.
