Is there anyone involved in the scandal who is still at Penn State now? Who gets punished if they keep the sanctions?

The culties who flock from around the state to fill the stadium, who write checks to the AD, who insist that Paterno was blameless and got a raw deal. The program needed to be brought down until the cult was broken. Is there anyone involved in the scandal who is still at Penn State now? Who gets punished if they keep the sanctions?
His actions at Vanderbilt, have the appearance of being a snake, and that wouldn't change just by being in a new place. The NCAA and Penn St better hope Franklin is a hell of a lot cleaner than he appears to be...good luck with that.
I don't think that would have happened even if the sanctions didn't end early. The culties who flock from around the state to fill the stadium, who write checks to the AD, who insist that Paterno was blameless and got a raw deal. The program needed to be brought down until the cult was broken.
RandyGoPSU?
The sanctions were intended to send a message to the entire PSU community. Football (and the related fanaticism) should not be an excuse to break the law and overlook common decency. I don't believe they got the message and now the NCAA is ensuring that they never will. The Death Penalty was warranted, and needed.

Thanks Jeremy - I think it's important to remember that the huge majority of the individuals associated with Penn State football had nothing to do with what happened. I'm glad Sandusky is dead, Paterno's statue was taken down, and the leaders of the school that chose to look the other way are gone.As much as your probably right the death penalty was never an option that was going to fly. As horrific as that situation was it didnt give PSU an advantage on the football field which is what is needed ie the SMU situation in which a death penalty situation could apply, and even at that point SMU had been on probation already and warned repeatedly to stop before they finally got the death penalty.
The problem the NCAA ultimately ran into is that everyone who was reponsible for that horrific scenario playing out is either A. Dead B. In Jail C. No longer associated with the program. At this point your punishing PSU superfans and current players who probably couldnt pick Sandusky out of a lineup if you paid them. The NCAA was scared S less that a federal jury would side with PSU and hit them with huge damages so they basically folded there tent at this point and said "mission accomplished". I always figured the sanctions would never last the entire time it was enivitable unfortunately.

I think Sandusky is still alive and Joe is dead. Thanks Jeremy - I think it's important to remember that the huge majority of the individuals associated with Penn State football had nothing to do with what happened. no news on oklahomo...In unrelated news, Western Kentucky will now receive the death penalty.

Look I have no sympathy for Penn State or its fans at all not one iota but as you noted everyone associated with this happening is gone and some cases have passed away. Anyone associated with what happened should be prosecuted to the fullest extent but giving a current player at penn state who at this point was born in what 1994 or 1995 some type of penalty makes zero sense to me.
Jeremy just look at who they hired since then...Franklin is involved in a s e x/rape scandal at Vandy that is still current. Then PED U. hires the president of FSU when Famous was involved in his very little rape deal.
Next Ray Rice will become their A.D. OH !!!!! HEY,THEY STILL HAVE A PLAN IN PLACE.
Emmert probably has a luxury box waiting for him in happy, happy.

Right... Me stupid - I meant to say in jailI think Sandusky is still alive and Joe is dead.
..
Almost every time there are ncaa penalties, innocent people feel the brunt of it.
Then an outlandish punishment was called for.Oh I agree that the overall culture and fandom has not changed one bit but that wasnt going to change short of 5 year death penalty sentence or something outlandish like that.
