My big man, Henry. 23 lbs of love. He acts more like a dog than a cat though.

Our dogs stuffed toys never lasted more than an hour. He was an assassin, gutted them mercilessly
Do any dog's stuffed toys ever last as long as we hope? I've never had a dog that didn't destroy a new toy within a day or two.

I just adopted this guy on Sunday. His name is Moon, and he has quite the amazing story. To make a long story short, he suffers from a disease called VKH, which took all of his vision and turned his coat pure white. He is an amazing dog, and the way he uses his hearing and smell is a sight to be seen. I've taken him for walks every night since Sunday, and he is pretty much a celebrity in Raleigh now. Everyone loves him.

Simply. Awesome!

Sophie (the dog) and Maggie (the cat) are best friends. We found Maggie outside our home as a month old stray. She was starving and had maggots in a big open wound from a hawk who had apparently picked her up somewhere and I guess dropped her nearby. We nursed her back to full health and rid her of the maggots (another whole story..) Hence her name Maggie :) I am convinced that strays know they are lucky to be found as she is a "lap cat" and absolutely a dog at heart. She chases balls and in general plays around with Sophie all day.
