No, that's not a contradiction-in-terms like "jumbo shrimp." It's an actual thing. And this is what you have to do to get on it:

I saw this last night and burst out laughing.

2.88? Eh. At least his major wasn't pre-med. I wouldn't want 2.88 poking and prodding me with needles and socket wrenches.

That is hilarious.

For a conference where a group of players can kick a guy with his spikes on outside of a bar...have a kid that doesn't go to classes and makes Ricky Williams blush due to how much pot he smokes plus professors that know where their bread is buttered it just flaunts their total disregard for what a college athlete is suppose to be. This is why Meyer left Florida for OSU, there he can be at THEE school that can cheat like hell in the Big 10 while the whole SEC does it.

I'm certain that sports and recreation management major is one of the more demanding curriculum at Arkansas. The whole announcement was cringe worthy in my book. I'd be a little apprehensive about broadcasting a GPA like that as being representative of student athlete achievement. Surely there must have been a better choice, or CBS/Red Lobster just got lazy and wanted the recognizable name.

I for one would love to take those BBQ and pig roasting classes they offer.

They recognized him because he got the 2.88 without having to have a tutor take a single test for him.
