He was rewarded with the St Peter’s job and served a suspension for his first 4 games there after he was named head coach. Crazy. Plus it was 241 impermissible phone calls with Thompson’s mother - 154 of them while he was enrolled at SU and 87 more calls after SU denied contact by Seton Hall after he asked permission to transfer there.

Thompson was a freshman at SU when his mother and Holloway exchanged more than 240 phone calls; NCAA prohibits coaches from contacting prospects or their family members when the athlete is enrolled at another school.

So is tampering. He was pretty good offensively here but horrible defensively which SU was willing to work on with him. He was terrible on both ends of the court for SHU in his limited minutes transferred to Detroit for his last year and quit after just 2 games playing a total of 1 minute. Kid was used and thrown away. Sad ending for that kid but Holloway and Willard are doing well.

He was terribly undisciplined on both ends of the floor. He could make a bucket, but he often took shots far outside of the Syracuse offense. He had more long two point shot attempts with a foot or two on the arc than any other big man we ever had. And early in the shot clock was kind of his thing, especially if no one else from his own squad was close to a decent rebounding position.So is tampering. Apparently someone called it out and guy corrected KR is their guy. Plus I'm fairly certain KR had a relationship with KR already as well. Seton Hall has been a shady operation since Willard took over and Holloway had a big part in all that.

My recollection of Holloway the player was an epic beat down early in his career at the Dome. Actually, back in those days, a typical SU-SH game; got so bad, I want to say, we had to pull McNabb out late because it was getting out of hand. To his credit; I want to say Holloway didn't lose to us again, or at least had a winning record against us the rest of his career. Which was, for those days, unheard of considering the Pirates were our punching bags back then.
He has some skeletons, but I think he relates to players and he runs a nice offense. I think this could be a boon or bust for Kadary because he certainly isn't afraid to get on his players.

Seton Hall is irrelevant and soon Shaheen will be as well. He peaked at Saint Peter's. The only thing I look forward to is the inevitable Sports Center story about some "high school mean girl" level drama between Danny Hurley and Shaheen Holloway. Those 2 guys are perfect for each other. SH can continue to enjoy our sloppy seconds.
