Was at Thursdays Yankee game, two bartenders saw my SU visor and told me this was going to be an SU bar for Pitt. Couple other patrons also mentioned game to me. ( This is not a baseball thread , some may need clarification)

Hey! We were ther too and you didn't even buy me a beer?! Nice of Boone to leave his two most reliable relievers of late watching from the bullpen while Kahnle and Holmes melted down again.

We took the train down from Syracuse on Tuesday and stayed until Friday. Considering the cost of parking, gas and tolls (not to mention my bar bill recovering from the stress of the drive) it was actually cheaper! Caught Back to the Future Wednesday night and a couple of great meals. Never driving again! Used to love the Tom and Jerry's trips when we lived in Broome.

And, as big of a supporter as I am of the SUAD, I refuse to go to the Pitt game. Might tailgate in the Henry Street lot and set up the TV and media room in protest!

I’m more of a fan of the Dugout, myself. That being said, I’ve seen Cuse play twice at Yankee Stadium. There’s no need for me to go again.

Really , surprised we didn’t see each other I had a Mattingly T shirt on . Stood right at the bar , missed Judge blast because friend talked me into one more beer . Had fun though. We spent the last 3 innings at the CF bar/patio whatever that’s called. got a little wet.

Bought Field MVP seats behind the Washington dugout for $80 on SeatGeek. 4 rows back from Legends seats. So there is an advantage to the Yankees sucking!

We paid 8 $s

Wow, people are still attending Yankees games?
When you’re the greatest franchise in the history of civilization, people will ride til the end. Novel concept for some I understand.

That’s what she said.

Note to self , never post about the Yankees even when the point of the post really wasn’t about the Yankees…. geesh !!

Moving SU vs Pitt to Yankee Stadium has to be one of the all time worst decisions the athletic department has done and that’s saying a lot. It makes absolutely zero sense. As a season ticket holder it really pisses me off.
I get the historic reasons for the Yankee Stadium game, it’s just a crappy place for a football game. Having played their for the Pinstripe Bowl just makes it seem worse.

Honestly I could respect hearing that "We are still struggling to get out of the financial hole from covid and, despite that, have made the decision to invest heavily in upgrading coaching and support staffs and facilities. The agreement to move this game to Yankee Stadium, helps alleviate much of that challenge. Oh, and the historical significance is pretty cool too." Anything else is just spin and frankly an insult to the loyal fans of CNY.

I get why people are complaining, selfishly for me it’s an excuse for a weekend trip to NY. Have a friend who owns home in Asbury Park and we take the train in ( no driving ) lot of beverage consumption and fun .
