an organizational meeting some time this month, with SU and Pitt attending. Does anyone know exactly when the get-together is scheduled?

I saw that in one of those North Carolina papers, maybe in the middle of the fall? Can't be of much help on specifics, though.

This is the ACC scheduling meetings that SU and Pitt were invited to attend just after the announcement in September that the schools were leaving. I'm not sure when the exact dates are, but I know that both schools will be actively involved and not just there to watch. My information is old now (from October) but back then I heard they would be scheduling next season for both scenarios, but maybe that has changed since the WVU crap and the BE playing hardball. However, if WVU does decide to leave and pay whatever penalty is assigned by the court, then the door might open for SU and Pitt to move. Personally, I think we have one more year in the BE and then we're outta here. Marinatto cannot hold us hostage when he has to make room for new members. His hand will be forced at some point.

Also i am assuming that a decision on what division we play in will be finalized cross over rivals yada yada

The Big East needs us, Pitt, and WV to stay for scheduling, etc. reasons, but I don't see why we can't be playing basketball in the ACC at the least next year.

Really? Are you sure there's no provision in the TV contracts about the ramifications of losing 3 teams? That's a large reduction in programming inventory as well as a reduction in conference star power. The smaller schools would also like another go of getting (near) full arenas when those 3 come to visit.

Look for another full year of Big East competition for the Orange.
