OT: Top 5 dunk of all-time?

It's hard to say top 5 when you consider all the MJ, Vince Carter, and Dominique Wilkins dunks. All of them did it when there were elite shot blockers protecting the rim and posterized some of those shot blockers. Less freedom of movement made it harder too.

It was a sick dunk though. I love how high he got, how far out he was when he took off, and how hard he threw it down.
Plus, Dwight Howard, Dr.J, and Blake Griffin...so many out there.

Not discussed a lot, but this JR Smith dunk still blows my mind. Time running out, takes off with two hands and puts Gary Neal on a poster

Ties into this, but for those who enjoy reading, Shea Serrano has the book Basketball (and Other Things) that has a chapter specifically for the best dunks ever based on difficulty, disrespect, the moment, etc. Scottie Pippen's dunk on Patrick Ewing topped the list (you can buy the book here: )

So do I, and the only one that even comes close to competing with that one this year is the one that you posted. There's nothing else.
Lonnie Walkers last night was pretty good too.

I just posted that before you, that was amazing.

Ignore the announcers and it isn't even a top 10 one on the year.

This is my favorite this year.

Disagree on Bridges not being top 10, but yes, this is still #1. The best part is the other Raptors players barely able to look at Watanabe in the aftermath.

No.

No dunk that prominently involves the faux-enthusiastic made-for-TV reactions of a bunch of narcissists makes its way onto my top-100 list.

Now get off my lawn!
