OT - Tough News To Report

Hey guys...I have some difficult news to report. My younger daughter Rachel has been diagnosed with cancer. Some of you know her as she's been to several football games and tailgates. She's a William & Mary grad and received her masters from the University of Chicago. She and I got to sit courtside in CTO seats a number of years ago, a superb day and still appreciated. She's having surgery on Tuesday, then likely will have radiation & chemotherapy. Tough times...
I’m very sorry to hear this. If it ever becomes necessary to start a GoFundMe related to this for any reason, please share the link here.

Thoughts and prayers with you and your family

A little late, but I want to echo my SyracuseFan family members and all their offerings of prayers, thoughts, good wishes and encouragement. Say what you will about some of the arguments and disagreements we have in the forums, on this you can count on us being united: Cancer sucks, and we ALL stand with Rachel, you, and your family.

I have no doubt Rachel will leap over cancer the same way Eric Dungey leaped over the UVA defender during this game.
That indeed was the most memorable part of the day...Dungey was a pleasure. Rachel has a signed football from that team. She went to a game at the dome with me, then waited for autographs as the team left. She got Dungey's and Dungey's brother...

I am sorry to hear that. I am not sure if her ,but I met a daughter of yours at the Virginia game in Charlottesville a few years ago. I wish her and you the best result possible. I am six years past a cancer diagnosis myself, and radiation treatment. Keep a positive attitude, and best wishes.
Just saw the picture, and yes I did meet her in Charlottesville.
Too young to have to deal with this.

Yeah, this is a good thing for you and a healthy stress relief. People need to feel like they're accomplishing something when they encounter challenges like these that they can't control. Checking a box that a job is done can be really good for keeping the mind sharp.
I appreciate your optimistic thoughts about me and a "sharp" mind...

Hail Mary, Full of Grace, the Lord is with thee...

Not a lot to say that hasn’t been said so well by everyone thus far. But I can relate to what you’re family is going through and I’ll keep all of you in my thoughts.
