Nope. If we were in A, B, or D it'd be much worse. We have to realize we arent a 1 or 2 seed in most brackets so we'd always have 2 tough teams to deal with.

Agree. I think the Portugal name on the surface carries more weight than it should. And we've gotta be due against Ghana, right?

Meanwhile I'm sure England feels a bit more p*ssed about drawing Italy and Uruguay. Glad the English media will have another reason to frenzy over Suarez, they were running out of material.

Portugal is a 2 man team Nani and Ronaldo. Now Ronaldo is one of the top 2 players in the world. The USA chances hinge on the first game with Ghana. Ghana has owned us the last 2 World Cups, but if we beat them then we will have a strong chance to advance. Playing Germany 3rd was a huge break if they are siting on 6 points the USA could catch a break.
BTW: ImperialOrange how great is it that your boy Luis Suarez will be facing off against England.
Group B and D are the toughest followed by G. I can't believe the luck of the freaking French, and I wish we could gotten Group H, but oh well. I hope we play a friendly against a similar African team and beat Ghana for once.

Disagree about the top 2 player comment though. 1 is obvious, 2 is murky.

My soccer obsessed friend on FB told me look for Cameroon, England as 2 friendlies for World Cup Preparation. I understand Cameroon since they are an African nation, but I don't get England they don't play like Portgual. The England match he told me will be in Florida.

Honestly, June 16th, the first game is everything. If we can get 3 points there that would be massive.
Hopefully looking to draw v. Germany
Then have to beat Portugal. Not impossible, but difficult.
I am excited about the top (Bradley, Dempsey, Donovan, Altidore), but the back line remains a huge question mark. We need Cameron to be a stud.
